New face at the top of 4A | Prep football rankings

September 19th, 2011 at Mon, 19th, 2011 at 12:47 pm by Josh Suman

Eastlake takes over the top spot in 4A after Skyline was beaten by Lake Oswego Ore. on Friday night. The Spartans will have plenty of chances to regain their throne, but for now it’s been usurped by their Sammamish rivals. 3A looks pretty much locked up and I don’t think anyone around the state has a doubt that at least two of the top four will end up in the semi-finals and possibly the title game depending on the bracket. 2A is also getting a little static and will probably remain so until the playoffs roll around, barring a major upset.

Without further adieu…

Prior to joining the Bellevue Reporter, I was a sports reporter for several online-only publications around the Sound. I have also worked with XOS Digital, a scouting and new media service providing game tapes of potential NCAA student-athletes. Eastside Catholic High School is where my playing days ended and after high school I attended the University of Oregon, where I earned a B.A. in English. My hopes for the blog are to continue to uphold the high standards of content that became so familiar to our readers. The blog will contain extra items from stories that appear online and in print, quotes from coaches and players and other extra bits and pieces from around Bellevue-area Prep Sports. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns or requests and I'll do my best to keep this blog as reader-friendly as it was under my predecessor!
