The who's who and happenings in Bellevue
Welcome to my blog. As a writer and reporter for Bellevue’s community newspaper, I have the exclusive on many of the happenings around Bellevue.
The city is evolving with an ever-changing skyline, attracting a continuous flow of new shops, wine bars, nightlife hot spots, high-end boutiques, a flourishing art scene and top notch restaurants.
The drive across the bridge in search of entertainment and a happening nightlife is no longer necessary. Instead, Bellevue is slowly becoming the place to see and be seen.
In the last several months, a number of new attractions have begun to draw eyes towards Bellevue. The newly opened Grand Cru Wine Shop and Bar, located at 1020 108th Ave NE, has added a sophisticated edge to wine tasting.
Bellevue Square is now home to a number of designer stores including 7 For All Mankind, Burberry and Hugo Boss. New restaurants around Bellevue include Boom Noodle, Blue C Sushi, Pearl, STIR Martini + Raw Bar, El Gaucho, and the soon to open Earls.
The Shops at The Bravern, an outdoor shopping villa located on NE 8th Street between 110th and 112th Avenues NE., will open its doors in September and will include a Neiman Marcus, Jimmy Choo, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Anthropologie, John Howie Steakhouse, Wild Ginger and more.
In 2010, the ground breaking for the new Performing Arts Center Eastside will begin, bringing world-class performances and musicians to Bellevue’s doorstep.
In the mood for a movie? Stop by Lincoln Cinemas on the third floor of Lincoln Square for a state-of-the-art IMAX experience in 3D. After the movie, step next door to The Parlor Collection for a game of pool, dancing, and a live comedy show. Directly below the cinemas, you’ll discover Lucky Strike Lanes, a tribute to the classic bowling alleys with a modern twist. Directly across the way from Lincoln Square is the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, currently undergoing renovations to add a second tower including an 18,000 square-foot Grand Ballroom.
In the mood for a little dancing and drinking? Find your way over to Vertigo on 938 110th Ave NE or The Spot Off Main for karaoke and pool.

The list goes on and on.
It seems like every week, something exciting and new is happening in Bellevue. Stay tuned to learn about upcoming events, store openings, and the latest news on the lifestyle scene.
