Let’s Do Lunch Bellevue: Panera Bread

January 19th, 2010 at Tue, 19th, 2010 at 3:02 pm by lindsaylarin

Much to my pleasant surprise (and slight dismay that it took me this long to stumble upon it), I spotted a Panera Bread in Bellevue and immediately did a u-turn yesterday. What’s not to love about this place. The sandwiches and soups are so fresh and served warm- perfect for yet another rainy day in Western Washington.

I navigated the packed parking lot at the Panera Bread located on Bellevue Way, 1100 Bellevue Way NE and popped inside to the familiar smells of fresh baked bread an pastries.

I arrived right around lunchtime. The line to order reached all the way back to the front entrance door, but moved rather quickly. Once I reached the cash register, I ordered a nice pairing of a 1/2 Greek Salad and cup of Tomato Soup. The meal came with a side baguette, apple or chips. I chose the baguette in an attempt to be somewhat healthy.  My meal came to around $8 which I was happy with.

Although bustling with Bellevue lunch-goers, I found a table and settled in for a nice mid-afternoon meal. There was something comforting about the crowd of people and warm, friendly atmosphere. I may have to pay a visit again soon rather than later.
