Gifts a plenty at the Overlake Service League, Adopt-a-Family event

December 16th, 2009 at Wed, 16th, 2009 at 3:46 pm by lindsaylarin

Hundreds of volunteers spent the day on Wednesday, wrapping and distributing gifts to families in need in the Bellevue area. Overlake Service League’s annual Adopt-a-Family and Giving Tree donation event, collected thousands of presents from individuals, family sponsors, groups and businesses. In addition, more than 200 bikes were donated for the holidays.

Volunteers sorted the presents according to a “family wish list” and added additional gifts to make donations more abundant.  Later in the day, the sponsored families either paid a visit to the pick up location or a volunteer drove the gifts to their home.
