Arcade gaming has reached a new level of sophistication with the opening of Power Play, Lucky Strikes gaming lounge on the second level of Lincoln Square. The $4 million project was two years in the making and marks the first Power Play to arrive in the U.S.
A combined entrance to Lucky Strike and the Power Play venue gives access to both gaming, bowling, pool, dining and a full bar. Power Play is open to all ages, with 21 and over access after 9 p.m.
The gaming lounge includes a variety of arcade-style fun, from the traditional shoot-em games to the state-of-the-art Lazer Maze, Ferrari racing game and Rock Band. The classic Crane Game has traded in the stuffed animal prize for a new Coach purse, iPod Nano or Nintendo DS.
Power Play is appropriately located below Microsoft offices, the perfect spot to lure tech-savvy adults who want to act like kids for an hour or two.
Bowling and game playing packages will be available in the near future. For now, gaming cards are available for purchase and bowling per hour. For more information, visit www.bowlluckystrike.com.
